Really Boring.

Just too repetitive, if you're gonna try and make a game like this take the following advice.

1.Get Someone Who's *Experienced* In AS to help you with the game

2.Make the screen higher.

The AS was the main problem, but not bad. Bit simple though, just a bunch of copy and paste codes from Flashkit with an added variable or two, nothing special.

A) What's Flash kit...
B) This Game was made from scratch
C) The Game you just played at no point was Advanced coding used because none was needed...

This is a code I'm using in my current project to check the distance between 2 movieclips.

onEnterFrame = function () {
xdist = Math.abs(_root.guy._x-_root.gman._x);
ydist = Math.abs(_root.guy._y-_root.gman._y);
distance = Math.sqrt(xdist*xdist+ydist*ydist);
}

What he said before me.

I am pretty damn sure this is stolen. I saw this a while back. Maybe you jsts changed the spalsh screen.

I release this tutorial on another account. And I've selected that tutorial for deletion and released it again. Sorry for any confusion.

It Was Pretty Decent

It's was fairly good, the letters made me laugh quite a lot, but it was a little bit buggy to say the least. At one point after playing the guitar ten times, I couldn't sleep, so I had to close it because I couldn't close the 'Play Guitar?' window. I also think that the main character, if re-touched and made to ook at least a bit respectable would've helped me in the grading of this game. It is a decent effort, and obviously thought out, but mayb eyou need to practice not only your graphics, but a bit of Actionscript first. The guitar shop cashier was well draw, just a shame the main character looked rushed. But, he definately looks American *wink wink*

Good luck.

mmetzner responds:

you click the exit button on the bottom right hand corner to come out of the 'play guitar' window. I should add windows style exit buttons to each interface screen really.

Good

I needed my 100th protection point. As for teh actual game, didn't you make this for part of a collab? Meh. Nice game anyway, like the flying engine.

TrueDarkness responds:

Well it is still a part of Flash Regs Sidescroller Collab I believe, but I was working on this long before that collab, so I'm entitled to submit whenever I want..right? =D thanks a lot!

Very Cool

But two small and also I would suggest that you either added more objects, and/or change your name from Tom Fulp. You might get banned for being an imposter. Yikes.

der-Wahnsinn responds:

I changed my name...

Nicely Done

Although most of the score sub sections I gave you are low numbers, that's because they are in relation to the game, but overall this game is very interactive, clever, and a nice piece of kit. I'd add it to my favourites if I didn't have other music producers but there is too much of a gap in between notes etc so fix that maybe for quicker tunes and I think you got a great Flash.

Good luck.

muddasheep responds:

Thanks for the review!

Just a quick hint regarding the gaps between notes, you can try to change the grid-size, so you can actually put notes closer together (if you haven't already tried).

Great...

My word...I haven't heard that song for absoloutely ages...so thanks for that lol!

Anyways, I didn't really do it as I went along cos I know how to do guns anyway, but after i clicked your bbs sig i though i might as check it out and i goota be honest it's pretty frickin good. this should help a lot of people and you've got everything right down to the arrows to go back or advance, so good job on that. overall it was presented well, and someone who actually has the balls to ASK for a 5 more than certainly deserves it. It got my 5.

Take it easy,

scrimpy responds:

Thank you!

PS - I had a big problem with the 'back'-arrow, because the music was starting another time and then you had to press the mute-button. But you can see, the problem is solved, now.

What the problem is?
